About the SpeakerTom Hiester is the Manager of Wind Assets for Puget Sound Energy. He has over twenty years experience developing energy projects, mostly in the non-utility environment. He holds a Masters degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Colorado College. He began his energy career in wind energy research at Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratory followed by five years with an early wind energy company in California. He spent over ten years in affiliation with an engineering and construction firm where he developed wood-fired and gas-fired combined cycle cogeneration projects in North America and Southeast Asia. He joined PSE in 2003 and heads up PSE's wind resource project acquisition and implementation.
