Chemical Engineering profession is in a time of significant change. This has
implications for us as chemical engineers, for our employers and for AIChE. The
presentation will discuss these changes, their causes and implications as well
as some ideas of how to handle the future. About the SpeakerSidney F. SapakieSidney F. Sapakie has completed a 33-year career in industry. His most recent position was vice president of International R & D for General Mills, Inc. He earned a BS degree in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan, an MBA from the University of Minnesota, and is a registered professional engineer. He has served on advisory boards at the University of Michigan, Minnesota, and Illinois. He is currently a consultant to industry and a Senior Fellow at the University of Minnesota. Sid was elected a Fellow of AIChE in 1998, and is currently serving as President of AIChE.
