From Seattle: Take Highway 520 across Lake Washington, take the Bellevue exit and head south approximately 2 miles to NE 8th Street, cross NE 8th and go one-half block, Jake's is on the right at the front of the mall, parking is in the garage adjacent to the restaurant.

From 405N or S: Take I-405 north or south to Bellevue and exit onto NE 8th Street, go west approximetly one-half mile to Bellevue Way, turn left and go one-half block, Jake's is on the right at the front of the mall, parking is in the garage adjacent to the restaurant.

ABOUT THE MEETING

Program

Sue Freeland will be speaking about the impact of fiber recycling on the manufacture of new paper products. The recycling of post industrial and post consumer waste papers will be discussed. Industry trends and misconceptions will be highlighted.

Speaker

In 1985 Sue earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry form the University of Washington. While attending UW she worked as a laboratory technician at U.S. Oil and Refining in Tacoma and at Fairchild Semiconductor in Puyallup. Following graduation she worked as a research process engineer at Fairchild. In 1987 she began working for the Weyerhaeuser Company. In 1993 she completed her Masters degree in Pulp and Paper Science and Engineering at the University of Washington. Currently she is a Paper Chemistry Technology Specialist for Weyerhaeuser.

Menu

1.  Parmesan Chicken - tender chicken breast lightly breaded with Parmesan cheese and pan fired; served with pepper cream sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables, a seasonal mixed greens Dijon salad will precede the meal.

2.  Seafood Alfredo - bay shrimp, alder-smoked salmon, scallops, and mussels tossed with linguine in a classic alfredo sauce, a seasonal mixed greens Dijon salad will precede the meal.
