Presentation

In keeping with the spirit of the beverage theme, Alex Sloley of Blackthorn Mountain Winery, will be the speaker. Alex and his family run an artisanal winery, producing approximately 450 cases of wine per year. His talk is on the technical aspects of moving up from the home winery scale to reach the semi-commercial operation. Additionally, it will include some discussion of the commercial and regulatory aspects of small-scale wine operation. More information on the winery can be found at www.blackthornmountainwinery.com.

From I-405 North or South, take the Wenatchee/ Monroe exit (#23 East) to Highway 522 East.
Take the Woodinville exit and stay to the right.
Turn right on NE 175th.
Turn left at the 4-way stop onto Highway 202.
