Cascade Recycling Center Tour

Where does all the recycling stuff go?

Program

Tour: Tuesday, February 12, 2008, from 6-7 PM.

Tour and Presentation on Waste Management's Cascade Recycling Center in Woodinville

The visit will include about 45 minutes in the Waste Management conference room, where we will discuss recycling procedures, watch a video, and observe sorting activity on closed circuit television screens. At the end of the visit, we will take 5-10 minutes to watch the sorting from the observation deck.

Tour groups limited to 30.
~Tours are not appropriate for children under age 4.
~Visitors ages 4-10 must be closely supervised by at least one adult for every four (4) young people.
~Visitors ages 11-17 must be closely supervised by at least one adult for every seven (7) young people.

Sturdy shoes: Visitors must wear sturdy closed-toe shoes.

Photographs: Visitors may take still photographs. No video cameras are allowed.

Accessibility: The conference room where we will be for about 45 minutes is wheelchair accessible. However, it is necessary to climb 24 steps to watch the sorting process from the observation deck at the end of your visit.

Directions to Cascade Recycling Center, 14020 NE 190th, Woodinville

Take I-405 to Exit #23 near Bothell. (8 miles north of WA-520 intersection in Bellevue; 6 miles south of I-5 intersection in Lynnwood)

Follow exit signs to 522 E toward Woodinville/Monroe/Wenatchee.

Drive 1.32 miles past Woodinville exit to N.E. 195th St/Duvall exit. Turn right on 195th St.
Cross Woodinville-Snohomish Rd. NE

Take first right at top of hill on 142nd Ave NE.

Take first right (PPG Aerospace driveway) and then first left into Cascade Recycling Center parking lot.

Take sidewalk down to the center. Cross truck entry area with caution at crosswalk.

Enter CRC at the office entrance on southwest side of building.

Walk upstairs or take elevator to educational center.

Sturdy closed-toe shoes are required for safety.

Visitors may take photographs. No video cameras are allowed.
